Standard Shipping

We'll automatically ship by "green" bike delivery for applicable local areas, with delivery within 1-3 business days for in-stock items. All areas outside of our Green Delivery area will receive standard shipping via UPS Ground and USPS Priority, typically 2-5 business days for in-stock items. In-stock items will ship by the next business day.

Please note that the total shipping cost listed on the automatically-generated invoice will not reflect any requested alternate shipping options. If your shipping cost varies from the standard flat rate, we will contact you for approval before charging your credit card.

All items are shipped ‘no signature required.’ If you would prefer to have your order shipped with signature required on delivery, please indicate this in the Comments field. Additional charges apply.

Rates:

$5 for first item, $1 for each additional item

Terms and Exclusions:

Standard shipping is typically 2-5 business days.
Applicable for all non-expedited shipments within the contiguous U.S.
Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, and Puerto Rico, or any expedited shipping within the contiguous U.S. will be quoted on a per-order basis.
Standard $5 shipping does not apply to orders including Google Print-on-Demand titles.

Saver Shipping

We also offer a discounted "Saver Shipping" option on all book orders. Saver Shipping items will be sent via USPS Media Mail.

Rates:

Orders < $50: $3.50 for the first book, $.50 for each additional item.
Orders $50+: Saver Shipping is FREE for orders over $50.

Terms and Exclusions:

Saver shipping is generally 2-7 business days.
This option is only available for orders within the United States.
Standard saver shipping does not apply to orders including Google Print-on-Demand titles.
Saver shipping does not apply to Harvard University Clothing Orders, or to bulk Print-on-Demand orders.

In-Store Pickup

We're pleased to offer an in-store pickup option for local customers placing orders through our website.

If you need an in-stock item immediately, please call us directly at (617) 661-1515 and place the order that way, as we require more processing time for orders placed through our website, and are unable to process online orders on weekends or outside of normal business hours.

Your in-store pickup order placed through our website may only be picked up after you receive notification that your order has been processed and is ready.

Sorry, in-store pickup is not available for University clothing orders.

Green Delivery

Harvard Book Store is thrilled to offer its super speedy, environmentally responsible, and inexpensive delivery service to the Boston area. If you're not local, we can ship to you by more conventional methods!

In partnership with MetroPed, “Boston’s human-powered delivery service,” Harvard Book Store will deliver all local orders for as little as $5, five days a week, using emissions-free vehicles.

All deliveries cost $5 for the first item, and $1 for each additional item.

Google Print-on-Demand Titles

We provide standard and saver shipping options for orders of Google Print-on-Demand titles. Because these titles require additional work, the shipping cost is higher than we charge for other orders on our website. However, we no longer charge any additional resizing or processing fees on any print-on-demand titles ordered through our website.

Harvard University Clothing Orders

All orders for Harvard University Clothing will be shipped via USPS Priority Mail, which takes 2-5 business days. Please note, we cannot currently ship clothing orders to Canadian addresses.

Unless otherwise noted, all clothing is in stock and will ship out the following business day.

Sorry, in-store pickup is not available for University clothing orders.

International Orders
