By Public Transportation (Highly Recommended)

To get to the store from the Harvard Square T station: As you exit the station, reverse your direction and walk east along Mass. Ave. in front of the Cambridge Savings Bank. Cross Dunster Street and proceed along Mass. Ave. for three more blocks. You will pass Au Bon Pain, J.P. Licks, and Leavitt & Peirce Tobacco. Harvard Book Store is located at the corner of Mass. Ave. and Plympton St.
By Car
From the Massachusetts Turnpike (east and westbound): Take Exit 18 (Allston, Cambridge): Go through toll booth, bear right towards Cambridge, then get into far left lane at set of traffic lights. At second traffic light (before the bridge across from the Doubletree Guest Suite Hotel) turn left onto Storrow Drive; continue straight on Storrow Drive to the Harvard Square exit. Cross over Lars Anderson Bridge. Go straight on JFK Street into Harvard Square.
Parking
Street parking is sometimes available in Harvard Square. One and two hour meters require payment (quarters only) Monday through Saturday between 8am and 8pm. Parking is free all night and on Sundays and holidays.
Harvard Book Store validates parking for the Charles Hotel Parking Garage and University Place Garage. Bring your Charles Hotel Parking Garage ticket to the store and we will stamp it for a $2 discount. Find rates for validated parking at University Place on their website.
