Spotlight on Debut Author

Mary Sullivan, author of Stay

Please join Harvard Book Store in welcoming local author Mary Sullivan. She will be the special guest at our November 29th event at the Tini Bar in the Charles Hotel. She will speak about her debut novel, Stay. Tickets are free at the Harvard Book Store.

About the Author


Mary Sullivan grew up in a small town outside of Boston, in a family of thirteen. She received her BA from UC Berkeley where she studied poetry with Robert Hass, Thom Gunn, and Ishmael Reed. There she received the Emily Chamberlain Cook University Poetry Prize and more recentlly, was awarded a St. Botolph's Prize. Currently she is the Coordinator for PEN New England. Before this she was a teacher at Our Place, a center for homeless children in Central Square and she waitressed on Martha's Vineyard for years. Stay, published by Zoland Books, is her first novel. She lives in Cambridge, where she is working on her second novel.
