This fall, the Harvard Book Store joined with the Nieman Foundation for Journalism at Harvard to cosponsor the fifth annual Nieman Narrative Journalism Conference. The conference took place from November 8th through 10th and featured speakers such as Madeleine Blais, Ted Conover, Anne Fadiman, Malcolm Gladwell, Molly Ivins, Errol Morris, Richard Rodriguez and other fine writers, editors, and innovators in the media. In the past few years, this conference has helped refine narrative journalism and advance its acceptance in print and broadcast media.

As part of our involvement, we developed a bibliography of in-print books dealing with narrative journalism and other subjects addressed at the conference. This bibliography has been put together with suggestions from the Nieman Foundation staff, conference speakers, and staff from Harvard Book Store. Click here to see this list of classic, new and important titles dealing with narrative journalism. To learn more about the Narrative Journalism Conference and the Nieman Foundation Program on Narrative Journalism, browse their web site at www.nieman.harvard.edu.
