Harvard Book Store is pleased to announce that on Tuesday, September 30th Anne Garrels will be reading from her new book, Naked in Baghdad. With bombs falling and the threat of sniper fire everywhere, Anne Garrels was one of only sixteen “non-embedded” journalists who stayed in Baghdad throughout the American invasion. Here she gives us the sights, sounds, and smells of our latest war with unparalleled vividness and immediacy.

Author Biography:

As a foreign correspondent for National Public Radio since 1988, Anne Garrels is regularly heard by more than seventeen million listeners a week. She has covered conflicts in Chechnya, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Afghanistan. She lives in Connecticut with her husband.
