Harvard Book Store Author Series Presents:
R.F. Foster
Harvard Book Store is excited to announce that on Wednesday, December 10th R.F. Foster will be speaking about his book, W.B. Yeats: A Life, The Arch-Poet, 1915-1939. The second and final volume in Roy Foster's acclaimed biography of W. B. Yeats covers the second half of Yeats' life, taking in his controversial political involvements, continued supernatural experiments, his extraordinary marriage, a series of love affairs, and the writing of his greatest poetry. Life and work are woven closely together to create a rich, new, uniquely authoritative, and immensely involving treatment of one of the greatest lives of modern times.
R.F. Foster is the Carroll Professor of Irish History at University of Oxford. His latest book, The Irish Story: Telling Tales and Making It Up in Ireland, has just been published by Oxford University Press. He is also the author of WB Yeats: The Apprentice Mage, 1865-1914. |
