Contacted by Albanian exiles conspiring to fight the Serbs in Kosovo, Laszlo has a chance to redeem himself on a dangerous mission. With brilliant dexterity, Miller intertwines the strands of his plot and leads each character to epiphanies, capped by a breathtaking denouement.
